My Girlfriend uses the app to call her family in Spain and she thinks its fantastic.
Very competitive call rates 0.43 cent(s)/min for landlines & 1.61 cent(s)/min for mobiles.
She topped up $5 about 3 weeks ago, she has spoken for 352 min and has $0.27 cents remaining.
She will surly be topping up on the reg. She won't use any of the other calling apps out there as they are too expensive, especially with data usage. If I recall correctly , with Zipt 1gb of data gets you about 400 hrs of talk time!!
She also recommended the app the cleaner who works in our building (he is from el Salvador), I bumped into him last week, I was eager to hear his review on the app. He had been using Zipt to call his sister back home, he told me the call rates are very cheap & line is much more stable than whatsapp.
