I think the important thing here is the message that "a progressive dividend policy" sends to potential investors.

It says that "here is a company that will look after it's shareholders". This is something that big fund managers look for when deciding to invest, and this can only help the share price which will be good for us and for AGO in looking at future acquisitions using equity swaps.

Knowing that I should be receiving a growing income stream also makes me feel good about holding AGO as a long term, core part of my super fund.

Having said that, it is the capital growth where we will get the return. I expect it to double from here in the next few years.
