Don't disagree that it achieves the same result. But it does remove a step from the verification process. If I was verifying my Amex that wouldn't make much difference. If I was verifying my Visa Debit, it could actually speed the process by a couple of days (due to the annoying lag time for Visa transactions to appear in my credit union account).

Although Paydentity was the initial idea that iSignthis was built around, it's now just one tool in their suite of products. Perhaps one that not all clients are taking advantage of, and perhaps not even the main pillar of the business any more.
