That is interesting 'Joe, but we both know the truths about Islam, the CCP. The Crusades were actually localised and barely impacted the Muslim world at the time. I've got no view on them beyond the 'fabled' battle leadership of Saladin. If true, and I think it was very likely, he gets a merit badge from me. And most importantly it was based on seizing their own Christian lands back - that the Muslims slaughtered into. Anyway, Europe was rescued where Islam had seized. And the threat was removed across southern Europe.
That said, once upon a time - I was in Jeddah - Saudi Arabia - for several years, working for an airline.. During the 80's I ran into many hajjis from - China. I assume they were mostly, or all Uighurs. Quite pleasant compared to most others - for example from remote Pakistan, India, east Africa. They were quite good and easier to manage and communicate with. Now you seem to play the party line that the Uighurs are not being persecuted. But you know that is a lie. Here in Australia, if I knew Buddhists for example were being persecuted, I would be very angry about it. I have lived in Buddhist countries for many years and do admire their faithful. I won't trivialise the genocide of Uighurs in China, and neither should you. It is obviously happening.
About the Rohingas....I haven't actually been to Myanmar. Much as I would like to - it's on - what is left of my bucket list. But have run into several Burmese in Thailand and Australia. The subject is interesting - and I find the evidence is that the Rohing (Muslim) were supported by Middle-east itnerests to wage insurgency on Burma/Myanmar. The extent and casualties - I don't have an accurate picture yet. Bu the Myanmar military has responded in waves. I am not surprised they were driven out. I have no idea if they can ever come back. My gut feeling is probably not. They can call Bangladesh home. Historically - that is where they all came from. Sh!t happens.
There is no reason to be a CCP stooge. The world is so much better than that.
