Maybe not next year but what the market still doesn't understand is the quantum leap compared to the current convential methods.
Any genetic caused disease can be cured once the gene and its function has been identified. There are about 30.000 genes in the human body, each new discovery reduces the remaining effort. Once the puzzle is completed it will just takes hours to put the required amino-acids together and the defect will be corrected. Sounds simple as it is simple. The difficulties are related to the status of the current early days of this technology and the production of the 4 aminoacids. Once solved, easy game.
The US market has already recognized that but fear about the future and the current trading behaviour prevent ISIS and ANP from taking off. ISIS management is concerned about the real threat of a t/o. Pharmas don't takeover crap, they t/o new technologies either to prevent those from hitting the market or to use them for themselves.
But as so often, the most ASX people only think ahead as far as a kneeing ant can see.
If ISIS and ANP come out with the expected results then this is really the chance of a lifetime, if not, 1m shares at 1.8c won't kill us if everything turns out to be just fiction.
