Good question. Despite govt assurances at the time that the ISIS brides were thoroughly vetted prior to being repatriated, we now learn that the information held by authorities to make that decision was incomplete.
One could be forgiven for thinking that the motivation of the govt was first get these brides back and worry about full screening later. Thus avoiding a media and public backlash over repatriation.
The question being: if the govt knew then what it knows now about this bride, would she still have been repatriated, or been left to the Syrians to be dealt with?
