was isis in a position to attack Israel?
do they hold any ground adjacent to launch an attack from?

I don think isis is that interested in attacking anyone with real firepower.

farmers, goat herders and the the Iraqi army seems about their limit.

they had a shot at the Syrians, but that isn't going so well for them.

while it may have stretched the Israelis, I don't think they had their whole forces involved in gaza.
