Lebanon has for years been owned by Syria first (it was a puppet Syrian controlled State) and then Hezbollah next, as a puppet Iranian controlled State. Must be an absolutely depressing feeling for the true lebanese to know that that they have been owned for so long. That is the reason why ddzx's family do not live there and have moved to a far superior land - Australia.
Fools who try to pretend otherwise are just doing this out of their own anti-Western agenda and anti-Israel jealousy.
The blueprint to how things could be if only the Islam inspired hate was shelved is sitting right there...
...it is quite amazing to look at what Israel (one quarter the size of Tasmania) has achieved through science/technology, agriculture, medicine etc given the hatred and spite around them - the countries around them can only really collectively boast about the black stuff they can pump out of their land (not too difficult) - without oil, one can only imagine the state of play in the Arab countries - tribal to the nth degree (and I'd shudder to define that).
The bottom line is the absolute contrast - on the one side, what has been extracted from arid land, guts and brainpower, versus on the other, the degradation of society, held hostage by religion and dictatorship.
The contrast in the meaning of the phrase "get a life" between Israel and the rest of the middle east is mind-blowing.
Will any other Country in the Middle East ever recognise what is achievable if they put down away their jealousies and their daggers? It is going to take a massive shift of thought and culture and what is the common thread that has anchored it like a lead balloon? Islam and how it has been taught.
