Hi Mis, Quite right , the Inqisition was a similar "political system wrapped up with theology". Even I'm a tad young to remember being around in its heyday. Not sure that references to practices in the distant past, make me any happier about the existence of Political Islam in the present.
Must declare at this point that I find all religous belief laughable, but Political Islam currently poses a greater threat to my, and my descendents, happiness and well being.
