I'm more positive.

I've read a lot of books about Iraq and Afghanistan and its interesting that during these very long wars the vast majority of the population just want to get on with their lives. The world of 7 billion is currently beholden and cowering to a rag tag IS army numbering no more than 15,000.

France has 66 million population. Muslim population of about 7 million. The West has been at war in Iraq and Afghanistan for 15 years. You can count the number of terror deaths in France during that time on your hands and feet. Sure, there are no go ghettos just like any other country but that isn't just based on religion. Its also based on race or income.

What countries need to do is 1. deport relatives of confirmed terrorists 2. continue engaging with the Islamic community 3. reducing immigration from these countries 4. participating in Coalition forces to seek out and destroy Islamic terrorism (as they only respect power).

Its a fact of life terror attacks will continue but the risk of death is much lower than say getting killed in a car accident.
