Just looking at this section of the forum it seems like almost every thread is obsessed with Islam, Muslims, ISIS and all the doom and gloom.

I know there will be a lot of ignorance and stupidity following this but here goes anyway.

Islam truly is a religion of peace. The world Islam in Arabic means to submit/surrender. This submission is to God and only god.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) teachings focussed entirely on peace. Just because you can do a Google search to "prove" otherwise means nothing.

I can setup a wiki page telling you that the director of stock ABC (imaginary stock, not real) said 2 years ago that on February 1 2015 he will sign a major contract which will send the share price skywards. Will you buy based on this information? Even if you saw the exact same sentence on 3 or 4 other pages? Definitely not. Without a doubt you will NOT act on that information. You will search in as many other places possible before investing a single dollar.

So why do you accept such pathetic evidence as reasons against Islam?

Most importantly, ISIS and affiliated groups do not represent Islam. They are a bunch of wild cowboys running around the desert trying to claim glory. They will wither away soon enough, probably by infighting and killing of each other. VERY FEW Muslims sympathise with them, agree with them, talk about them or even care about them. What most of you fail to recognise is that if ISIS by some miracle happened to invade Sydney today, the absolute majority of Muslims would be captured, killed, tortured etc by them.

So how unfair is it for you to sit there and criticise Muslims as though they are responsible for this tyranny?

Stop reading trash news and stop buying crap lies without confirmation. If Tony Abbott told you to invest in oil stocks because he has a plan for oil price recovery would you act on it? NO! You would criticise him to no end. Why? Why are you willing to go out of your way to save a dollar but when it comes to ridiculing, criticising, shunning and threatening another HUMAN being you will act on the smallest bit of random media?

The term Moderate Muslim is a false, irrelevant, negative term. Using the word Moderate implies that the religion is extreme by default and that to find a balance you must tone it down somehow and find a "Moderate" route. This is false. Islam is by default a moderate religion. A religion of ease on its followers. A religion with a basic message of peace, humility and submission to God. The random tidbits of information you find onlinea bout the Quran are wrong, taken out of context or irrelevant.

Yes there are groups (Hizb ut-Tahrir) that want to establish an Islamic State. Don't confuse this with ISIS. It is a different, separate and irrelevant thing. This is a political group, not a religous one. When they say they want to establish a state it doesn't mean they want to take over Australia. This is false. Your soundbites are carefully selected and wrong. Don't be a fool.

If I recorded a secret directors meeting for your least favourite stock on the ASX and then uploaded carefully selected bits of sound/video to make it look like the directors are saying they will soon acquire a major stake in a major project which will send that stock skywards, would you act on that information? NO! You will criticise the missing bits, analyse it, analyse my intention for showing you the video, look at the source, discredit the journalist, do lots of research!!! Why don't you afford the same luxury to fellow human beings?

How do you think Muslims feels? Walking around the street having all these white people staring at them, giving them dirties, "accidentally" dropping a shoulder into them, having people call them terrorist, moving away from them in an elevator, not sitting next to them on a train, whispering about them. How do you think that makes a group of people feel huh?

What will it take for you to be nice to them? Want them to go to the pub and get sh*tfaced with you? That will make you like them? Want them to walk around half naked so that you can befriend them? Want them to shun their beliefs, abandon their culture and disbelieve in their God so that you can be nice to them? Why? What purpose does that serve? Why are you so afraid of somebody who has a strong faith in God and doesn't want to go against his beliefs? Huh? WHY? Ask yourselves.

Australia is a beautiful country. A diverse country with many many beautiful places and people. Let people enjoy it without holding them to your standards. Everybody has their own standard. Don't be a fool! Respect other people. Nobody wants your money, your children, daughters, wives and sisters, nobody wants your land, nobody wants to steal from you, or take away your right to exist. Nobody wants to charge you a "disbelievers tax," nobody wants to kill you or chop your head off. These are far-fetched fear mongering imaginations.

Next time you see a Muslim, smile at them. Ask them a question if you're curious about something. Don't wish death upon them, because you know what, that makes you just like the terrorists.
