although there is obviously some disturbing cultural acts that are sickening to say the least, at times when describing the establishment of islam it almost sounded like the birth of christianity.

no doubt there are some good aspects of most religions but in general most religions were established as a means for controlling the masses. keep them uneducated and they will believe whatever you tell them especially if you get your head chopped off for disobeying.
