Ummm, maybe I am on the slower end of the spectrum, but I thought the true nature of Islamic State was pretty clear - you will either follow their version of Islam or you have committed apostasy and need to be put to death. There is equivocation with the the true nature of Islamic State, there is no lack of information about it, there is no excuse for thinking that IS is different to the information that IS itself puts out (videos of beheadings etc).

It is unfortunate that atrocity only seems to be able to met with atrocity at the moment, forbearance and goodwill seems to be taken for granted and abused these days.
