This proposition is so silly that oil/mining companies bootstrap themselves up using cash flow from initial operations. It now seems that you have lost perspective in the drive to dump on MAD.

The AUT case demonstrates that growing cash positive production is the way to maximise shareholder returns.

Your idea would be equivalent to going to the Pilbara to start with a pick + shovel, buy a wheelbarrow/ buy a front end loader/truck and so on and so on....

OR

borrow/raise $3 billion and build a 100 million tonne pa mine.
