if someone comes in and pays off the debt for 200m, the net asset value also goes up accordingly and we all share the new value. If they buy the debt at 5 cents a share then the company will be worth around 5 cents. Ok by me as i bought in low. I think if someone was to take out debt for equity it would be for around 2 cents a share and then we would be screwed. See BCD this is what essentially happened to them. ISf would be better to roll their debt onto a visa card and pay those rates.
