Only a socialist could believe that miners/oilers can be gouged for taxes and absurd wages forever.
Mongolia has a magnificent copper/gold deposit which Turquoise Hill [Rio big share holder] has tried to mine for what must be a decade now. Latest report says they may walk away from a massive ore body [prolly much bigger than Olympic Dam] because the government will not allow them to make a profit on their >$5 bil investment. It was discovered 13 years ago and had the government been pro-mining they would be enjoying a wonderful income stream. They are 35% free carried but that is not enough for the greedy bastards. Note: Labor's original Super Tax was a virtual annexation of a 40% + stake.
Nothing big will happen at Olympic Dam either in this current climate.
