In a notice on Friday, the Chinese embassy in Israel warned of a “complex and severe” security situation and advised nationals to avoid unnecessary outings and areas near military sites or sensitive institutions due to the risk of missile and drone attacks. In a separate message, the Chinese embassy in Iran called on citizens and businesses to closely monitor developments and strengthen security precautions.
The warnings came as Israel raised its public security alert to “essential activity,” banning educational activities, gatherings, and most workplace operations. Israel’s Transportation Ministry also announced the closure of the country’s airspace for arrivals and departures until further notice.
