Once again I see you (like so many others) are giving Donny, way too much credit.

Donny is no different to all the other politician who are popularly elected, none of them are “any reasonable person”.

All of these politicians are fallible and can be steered in any direction, simply by the apparatus that surrounds/supports them.

You are correct in that lobbing missiles won’t provide a winner but a simple ceasefire won’t Sort it Out, either.

Both parties have gone to far for a de-escalation with no clear winner.

We can only hope that someone cries Uncle quickly and we don’t get WW3.
