I agree it would be better if 1967 had not occurred. But you miss some key points
1. Hamas didn't cross over and kill people on land taken in 1967. It crossed over and killed people on the land Israel got per the UN in 1947. So its not like Ukrainians crossing over into Crimea its like Ukranians murdering families in Moscow or Sochi
2. Israel gave Egypt the Sinai back but Egypt didn't want Gaza back, no one wants it. Until 2008 there was a lot of movement between Egypt and Gaza until Hamas built tunnels, and smuggled people and goods to Egypt. So the Egyptains flooded the tunnels, built barriers and shut the border. Egypt don't want to deal with Hamas either
3. To this day Hamas calls for Israel's destruction so what options does Israel have, do you expect them to rollover. The Plaestinians were offered a country in the West Bank and Gaza in 2000. Arafat refused, Hamas to this day refuse even for Tel Aviv to not be part of Palestine, even though the people living there have nowhere else to go.
