Sure Israel as well as any other country has a right
to defend itself , but, IMO, its rather cowardly to remotely
bomb the lard out of all and sundry in order to bring
a few thousand Hamas activists to justice.

This is a typical asymmetric war:
-Israel is one of the most advanced middle powers in the
world (with Nukes) doing an Aleppo on North Gaza.
a month out from winter.

Just to put things in perspective Northern Gaza
is about 180 Kms square with 1.2 million people (all of Gaza is 365 Kms square)
.an area about the size of Moreton Island
and on a similar sand base. This is like shooting fish in the proverbial barrel
at a range of 50 kms or via F16s/Rockets and the latest hi-tech that
the US can supply.

The civilian kill ratio is now at least 6:1
What is enough?
12:1?
20:1
50:1?
even more?

Take your pick...eh?

Will Israel get the hostages released?
IMO no, unless there's a ceasefire soon as per the UN resolution yesterday.
