the best thing about this country is that the govt has diddly squat impact on housing and property rights, the cornerstone of western civilisation are still exclusively the domain of the owner, so owners are within their rights to take loans from banks, to chase higher returns, to flip, to renovate for short term rental, to kick out tenants and raise rents
that is a free country and it has nothing to do with the govt
