    (I tried to post this as a reply to your latest post, but couldn't.)

    By effectively equating both sides, and then accusing Israel of not "making the compromises needed to fix the problem", you (conveniently...or should that be ignorantly?) ignore the often-repeated Palestinian claims that the Palestine they want, and are prepared to continually shed blood over, extends "from the river to the sea" = no Israel and no Jews.

    There's only one party in this conflict that needs to accept reality. They didn't when the UN Partition Plan was approved, and they haven't yet been able to do so.

    You ask: "Do you think their opponents will give up? Would you give up in the same situation?"
    The Palestinian leadership could learn from Israel's early acceptance of less-than-was-wanted, in the pragmatic belief that less was better than nothing.
    Will "they" give up? Not as long as they continue enjoying the fruits ($s and Euros) of actively remaining the "victims".
