This is most unfortunate but it confirms my previously expressed view that Israel does not really desire peace. Rather, it's goal is to acquire all of the Palestinian land, establish settlements upon them and effectively displace and disenfranchise the Palestinian people.
This particular action could not be more poorly timed as it feeds into the general unrest in the Middle East. Israel, far from helping the situation is pouring petrol on the flames.
