The buffer is around existing illegal settlements - perhaps they could evacuate the existing apartheid style jewish only settlements and go back to Israel. That would seem fairer than creating more Jewish only settlements on Palestinian land. It will get to the stage where the number of illegal settlements make a Palestinian state untenable. Israel is becoming more like apartheid era South Africa as each day passes.
As time passes, I predict that the BDS movement will get stronger and Israel, ill increasingly be seen as a pariah state.
