Brittany has probably the most liveable weather in France all year round (one has to enjoy wind) - rarely very cold in winter, rarely very hot in summer.
My heart's first preference is for mountains, but 1. there's no seafood there and 2. the air is dirty in the towns and cities, and in winter, it's difficult to do many things.
I was just in the South of France back a week or so - bloody hot, bloody dry, bloody brown -------- my god I missed the green of Burgundy. It is hot here atm - another heatwave. But will only last days, thankfully.
