IMO The Middle East problems should be left to the Middle East countries to sort out for themselves.The US invaded Iraq on erroneous information(ie: that Iran possessed weapons of mass destruction ) and then the US promptly convescated Iran's Petroleum resources in May 2023 (see except below)
Perhaps Iran will now retaliate by knocking out Iraq's (defacto US) oil/gas export facilities. As such these facilities do not belong to the USA.
