he didn’t say it was stolen and that is the point. What he did was effectively express empathy for their perspective. That is why the conveniently left out phrase is relevant.
that’s not ducking and weaving. It’s being factual
and for all you blither and quoting however inaccurate Israel has legal status and exists
I’m not arguing about colonisation or not, I’m following your posts which have admittedly changed as you respond to me
but if you want to argue about colonisation as well I am more then happy to do that too So far, just to summarise in case you’ve forgotten;
- you’ve tried to argue that ben Gurion admitted it was stolen land when in fact he said that from their perspective it was stolen. Vastly different
- you suggested that the Jews had no right to their land when in fact a United Nations vote gave them exactly that right
so I’ll go back to my original response to you but with a variation. In the same period as Israel was created by the United Nations changes were being made to country borders and new states established. This tends to happen after wars and conflicts. Dotted across Europe is physical evidence of these changes.
you would have it that history be denied and I’m cool with that if we are consistent in denying the existence of all these new boundaries and states. To do anything to else would look both intellectually unsound and deeply prejudiced
Now surely neither of those would apply to you
