The Jews got pissed off with the British because of the White Paper of 1939, which reduced the Jewish immigration in the territory, purchase of Arab land and gave a 10-year time frame for establishing of independent Palestine with Arab majority. No mention of the State of Isreal creation there.
Jews hated the plan and started working on expelling both the British and the Arabs from Palestine. The illegal immigration to Palestine by the Jews started then.
