Not trying to downplay the toll the Israel / Hamas war has taken on Gazan civilians which, yes, has been very high, but off the top of my head the tens of millions of people that died during Mao's Great Leap Forward, the Khmer Rouge Killing Fields, any number of recent African civil wars etc would probably like to have a chat with you.
