Not even the Israeli government describes this attack as an "invasion". So your personal opinion on the matter holds no significance.
If a person sees a bunch of masked hoodlums jumping the fence and walking towards his house, and just sits there and waits for the bandits to break in - that's what you call "idiotic behaviour".
Israeli authorities knew about the attack being prepared. They most likely knew the scale of the planned attack as well as it's location and approximate dates.
Either Israeli regime is completely incompetent, or they deliberately let the attack happen in order to justify all the military action that followed. Including strikes against Iranian targets.
Iran is a threat to US dominance and influence in the region. That is exactly what it's all about. Nothing to do with peace or stability.
