You asked why the Iranian consulate was targeted, I told you.

"There is no evidence that links Hamas and Hezbollah actions to the legality of Israel's strikes against Iranian targets."

I linked an article from the Wall Street Journal that claims direct IRGC involvement/support of those Hezbollah & Hamas actions.

The IRGC funds, trains, arms, and many would argue has a high degree of control of various non-State actors.

A number of those non-State actors attacked Israel in October 2023.

IMO it's a bit amusing to claim Quds Forces aren't legitimate targets when they directly involve themselves in these conflicts.

"There is no evidence of Iran launching attacks on Israeli targets from its territory."

I didn't say there was. The Quds Forces are designed to operate outside of Iran. The Quds Forces insert themselves into these types of conflicts. It's more than a bit rich to then be shocked when they become victims of said conflicts.

"Which doesn't mean that Israel hasn't used it's proxies to attack Iranian targets (a direct act of aggression)."

And Iran uses proxies to target Israeli interests. As you so eloquently put it, a direct act of aggression.

The Quds Forces and non-State actors in the area operate across borders. They engage in direct acts of aggression against Israel. You seem to be hung up on which piece of land in the area they are standing on when the Israelis target them.

    Cheers!
