IMO countries that are opposed to the USA have a dilemma: -nuke-up to deter a US/US proxy attack -if they attempt to nuke-up, then they will likely be attacked.
EG: -despite threats , North Korea has not been attacked because it has Nukes and the ability . to deliver tham. -all during the Afghan war the US did not attack Pakistan despite Pakistan aiding/abetting Afghistan in the US war...even Obama bin Laden was given safe haven in Pakistan.
So I guess there are 3 options for anti-US countries (a) lie low and hope the US or its proxy wont attack (b) secretly develop the Nukes and then spruik them (c) buy the nukes.
IMO after this Israeli/Iranian bingle, Iran will likely be looking at option (c) seriously because it has ooodles of oil & gas to barter with. Again, IMO, a Iranian regime change wont necessarily "change the leopards spots"
