    I think it depends on how you see “not in favour of wars”. It has been very obvious for a very long time that Iran is a problem for the Middle East and an enemy of the US. Obamas foreign policy showed he did not understand the Middle East at all and he followed the age old policy of appeasement which has been shown to be flawed over and over again. His policies actually enabled what has happened and the west in general have enabled the Muslim brotherhood

    both out own security services and the French (and no doubt others? Have highlighted the source of security risks in the west and it hasn’t been Israel

    I’m not so sure that the west or the US could keep allowing their own societies to be hijacked as we have seen occur. And I find myself approving of trumps approach whatever I think of him as a person and however I feel about some of the heavy handed approaches

    I think he made it quite clear that the time for diplomacy was over. Iran had already made it clear what they thought and it wasn’t about diplomacy it was about blackmail. That doesn’t go down well with trump
