Doubt Hamas was ever the target in the very beginning of day 1. genocidal jews wanna take over and land grab Gaza. That is the objective. To achieve that, they will need to wash the city in blood and genocide all the inhabitants.
They will need to ramp up the massacres and genocides so that they can force Egypt to open up and take up the Palestinians there for them to steal Gaza.
