Their explanation for the strike does not make sense. Even if you believe they were targeting one armed militant, they fired on and hit three separate cars carrying aid workers at different times. They were obviously targeting the aid workers themselves.

Presumably, responding to intelligence reports, the drone operator was on the lookout for the convoy of vehicles. It's likely that all they have to do is click on the three icons on their screen and the computer software takes care of firing the missiles autonomously.
