every human is faced with choices throughout their lives. There is never a single way of responding to a situation. It depends on what we see as our purpose as well as expectations of others, our circumstances and our past. It depends on context.
we can always look back at history and think about how decisions could have been different. But we are not them. We do not know that context. We are judging in retrospect.
