Tanzanian student Joshua Mollel, 21, moved to Israel in September 2023 to work on a dairy farm. He had just finished a diploma in agricultural studies from a college in Tanzania. He had dreams of opening up his own agricultural business back in his home country. He moved to Kibbutz Nahal Oz, Israel in September, his first time travelling abroad. On Oct 7th, he was kidnapped from the farm by Palestinian terrorists and dragged onto a nearby road. He was taken out into the road, as his captors filmed him, as he pleaded for his life. They shot him multiple times. As he lay writhing on the floor in agony, they shot him again. Joshua was described by his father as “polite, obedient and serious” about his agricultural work. He had 4 siblings.
