Opinion: Hamas obstinate on hostage deal demands, wants full Israeli withdrawal and why Israel cannot agree to it!

    Let me explain why:

Hamas has reportedly demanded that Israel's withdrawal from the Strip would include the Netzarim Corridor and the Philadelphi Corridor.

So the talks seem to be at an impasse. Why is hamas so insisting on the complete withdrawal  from the philadelphi corridor and the netzarim corridor?

    The Philadepli corridor
The philadelphi corridor is the border area with Egypt. in the area are lso the smuggling tunnels hamas and Egypt used for many years to supply Hamas with weapons, ammunition and other supplies for their terrorist activities.

When Israel took the area it cut off hamas form supplies and also cut off an escape route for hamas. That is why hamas wants it back so badly, cause lal the weapons they lose now they cant replace so their resources become less and less.

And that is exactly the same reason why israel has to hold on to it and keep control of it. It enables Israel to degrade hamas capabilities further and further  and prevents escape of hamas leaders and hostages to Egypt.

    The Netzarim corridor
The Netzarim corridor seperates northern gaza from central gaza. it blocks a free flow of hamas and people to the north and enables the IDf to screen anybody wanting to cross it.

Hamas wants to reestablish control over northern gaza and wants the IDF gone, it is also why they reject Israeli screening of people going up north as hamas is hiding among the civilians so they can return north to their weapon and tunnels and take back control.

That is also the reason why Israel has to hold on to it.
By dividing Gaza into different zones seperated by security zones like these  Israel can both during and after the war keep better securitycontrol and it hinders hamas operations.

Hopefully you will now understand why Israel is insisting on this on the negotiations and why hamas wants the IDF gone from these corridors.

It basically is a struggle over who wins the war, if Israel gives in to these hamas demands then hamas wins the war and it can rearm and  get ready for more october 7th style attacks. Israel loses then
