"Remember how I told you that “Settler violence” is not a thing?
That if there’s someone who lives in Judea and Samaria who commits an act of violence, that that person is a criminal and nothing else?
Remember how I told you that it’s not a widespread phenomenon like the media would have you believe?
Well, the most common response I got to that post was “Stop lying. The UN even says that it’s very common!”
Well well well, would you look at that?
A new report exposes how the UN and much of the world misrepresent “settler violence” in the West Bank. The UN claims 6,285 incidents from 2016 to 2023—but thousands of those are anything but violent:
Jewish visits to the Temple Mount, class trips, hikers, traffic accidents, and infrastructure work are all lumped in. Even incidents in Jerusalem, which isn’t a settlement, are included.
Strip away the distortions, and just 833 alleged cases of actual violence with bodily harm remain over 7.5 years. But half involve “clashes” with unclear initiators. Others involve Palestinians injured while committing terror attacks. In 117 cases, the UN itself says Israeli forces—not “settlers”—were responsible.
Compare that to the 6,068 serious Palestinian attacks (shootings, stabbings, bombings) recorded by Shin Bet in just two years—2020–2022.
Yes, isolated settler violence exists. But the UN narrative is a gross inversion of the daily reality.
“Jewish terror” is not a thing. “Settler violence” is not a thing. There are isolated events that are condemned by 99% of Israeli society. Those perpetrators deserve to be behind bars, but they represent no one.
Those crimes are not committed in the name of religion and again, they are criminals. Comparing that to radical Islamic terrorism that is carried out 100% in the name of Islam (hence every Islamic terrorist ever blessing Allah as they kill people!) is dishonest, dangerous, and just plain ignorant."
