RAMALLAH, June 23, 2025 (WAFA) –This report presents a detailed situation regrading the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the occupied Palestine.
Israel’s Use of Starvation as a Weapon Intensifies:
Israel, the occupying Power, continues its genocidal war against the Palestinian people in Gaza through widespread bombardment, an ongoing blockade, and the deliberate use of starvation and water deprivation as tools of warfare. The militarization of humanitarian aid compounds the crisis, as distribution points have been turned into high-risk zones, resulting in the killing and injuries of hundreds of civilians.
Baby Formula Depletion Puts Gaza’s Infants at Risk of Imminent Death:
A medical source in Gaza warned of a looming disaster as baby formula supplies run out, threatening hundreds of premature and newborn babies. With global attention elsewhere and aid appeals ignored, medical staff may resort to IV solutions—posing serious health risks and potential fatalities.
UN Blacklists Israel for Grave Violations Against Children:
The UN has once again placed Israel on its annual "blacklist" of parties responsible for committing grave violations against children in conflict zones. The 2024 report on Children and Armed Conflict by Secretary-General António Guterres documents 8,554 Israeli violations against 2,944 Palestinian children, including killings, maiming, detention, attacks on schools and hospitals, use as human shields, and denial of humanitarian access—also impacting children with disabilities.
IOF turns Palestinian homes in Occupied West Bank into Military Barracks:
The Israeli occupation forces have intensified the takeover of Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank, forcibly evicting families at gunpoint and converting residences into military posts, in clear violation of international law and norms. Homes are used as sniper positions, command centers, and interrogation sites, often leaving behind destruction, stolen property, and traumatized civilians.
World’s Longest Unresolved Refugee Crisis:
Marking World Refugee Day, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) reports that over 156,000 Palestinians have been killed since the 1948 Nakba, including more than 55,000 killed during Israel's ongoing genocidal war on Gaza, during which at least 2 out of 2.2 million Palestinians living in Gaza have been forcibly displaced within Gaza, compounding the suffering of a population where 66% were already refugees since 1948.
Palestinian Government Adopts Renewable Energy Plan to Boost Independence:
The Government Communication Center announced the adoption of the Build Palestine Initiative, with renewable energy and energy security as key pillars, aiming to generate 30% of Palestine’s energy from renewable sources by 2030.
The Government has also approved the National Plan for the years 2025-2030, which aims to increase reliance on renewable energy, thereby promoting the use of locally generated energy to support the independence of the Palestinian economy.
