the new immigrants didn’t take over their country.

let’s start with a few actual facts

it wasn’t their country. It was given to Britain to administer when the Ottoman Empire was defeated. It wasn’t even an Arab country before that. It was a motley collection of administrative units that answered to turkey.

the price of losing a war in those days was that you lost territory.

during WW1 Jews were evicted from their homes - including those who had lived there for multiple generations. Arabs simply moved in

under both the Ottoman Empire and the British mandate Arabs and the ottomans sold land at inflated prices and thinking they were getting one over the Jews this land was seen as worthless - swamps, desert, barren.

al Husseini took the lead in fomenting trouble by attacking and killing Jews - whether they were refugees from Europe or Mizrahi or Sephardi was irrelevant. The point was they were Jews. The Arabs were imprisoned because they attacked Jews and killed them. That’s pretty normal practice.

there is absolutely no philosophical difference between the partition of India and the partition of the mandate Where the difference lies is in the Islamic residents being determined to obliterate Israel
