Short SUMMARY of Israel's history from 1920 - 1973!!!
In 1920 when "the british mandate for palestine" started, lived in this TERRITORY (not a nation or even a state - just like mesopotamia) only 750k people and these consisted of 590k arabs, 85k jews and 75k christians. At the time when the UN presented their partition plan in late november of 1947, the arab population has grown to 1,2 mill (that means: increased by ~600k) and the jewish population has risen to 600k (that means: increased by ~500k) - hence 100k more arabs than jews came during this period to this territory - despite the fact, that this land (at this time also incl. today's jordan) was promised to the jews by the brits in 1917 (balfour declaration) and later confirmed in 1920 by the league of nations during the san remo conference!!!
In 1923 "the british mandate for palestine" was split in two and transjordan was separated - this huge part (77% of the orig. territory) was granted to the arabs exclusively (no jews were allowed to settle there) and the remaining part of 23% should go to the jews, but as always the greedy arabs were not satisfied with that and pressured the brits - the brits cracked and proposed a second partition of the remaining part in 1937 (peel commission), but guess what, the arabs refused - and in 1947 the arabs refused again a partition plan offered by the UN, instead the started a revolt which led to the invasion of 6 foreign arab armies on 15th may in 1948, one day after Israel declared its independency!!!
During this war some arabs fled from it, some were forced to flee by Israel, but the majority of arabs were instructed by the foreign arab leaders to leave their homes for a few days or maybe weeks, because those leaders were convinced, that they will wipe out Israel and kill or expel the "filthy" jews within days, based on their superiority of their combined forces!!!
But surprisingly Israel won. That is what the arabs called the nakba, because of their humiliating defeat.
During this independence war of Israel, Jordan illegally occupied judea & samaria and east jerusalem (the westbank) and Egypt illegally occupied the gaza strip - and not a single arab (not palestinian, because they didn't exist at this time) cried occupation back then - because it was conquered by arabs/muslims. This status lasted from 1948 to 1967 and no additional 23th arab state was established, because the foreign arab countries only wanted to expand their own land!!!
In 1964 the PLO was founded to liberate the "palestinian land" by struggle and this was the invention of the "palestinian ethnicity" created by Yasser Arafat (backed by the muslim brotherhood and the egyptian president Nasser) and the soviet KGB, in order to destroy Israel from within. But remember, at this time the claimed so-called "palestinian land" was occupied and controlled by Jordan and Egypt. So which land the PLO wanted to liberate? I tell you, they meant Israel, because the PLO explicitely EXCLUDED the westbank and the gaza strip from its claims in its original charter!!!
In 1967 and 1973 the combined neighboring arab armies tried to annihilate Israel again and again, but failed.
In fact in 1967 within 6 days Israel not only defeated the combined armies of Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Iraq, massively backed by Russia, but also conquered the golan heights from Syria, the entire westbank from Jordan and the gaza strip plus the whole sinai peninsula from Egypt. And all within 6 days!!!
Every other country would have claimed these conquered territories, but Israel offered land for peace!!!
But again, the defeated and humiliated arabs refused and declared during the khartoum conference in 1967 the famous "three NOs" - no peace, no recognition and no negotiation with Israel!!!
