You have described the situation well, so much cloak and dagger coming in all directions. Media ETC. unfortunately i think the area is unlikely to ever return to assemblance of peace.
Destruction seems to be the only outcome, and seems to continue like it has for decades now. One generation passes onto the next the hatred and the legacy continues.
A lot of people fight for different reasons, but unfortunately in this story they will never understand it was always them against themselves.
