I don't believe anyone who has the power to is calling for the permanent eviction of civilians, just for them to be sent into Egypt while the war rages. Kind of makes sense don't you think, especially as a lot of their homes are now rubble! Anyway, for now it seems Egypt isn’t convinced, probably for the very reasons pointed out by the commentator in my post.
Would be a great idea if Gaza was razed, and Hamas along with it, and rebuilt for the Gazan civilians, without the war infrastructure. You never know it could end up being a thriving mecca/tourist destination by the sea.
