When Hamas, in the 1970s, was a charitable organisation, providing schools, clinics and other charities for the benefit of Gazans, they might have received some encouragement from Israel, but that later changed completely when Hamas became involved in violent activities, and especially with the Hamas Charter of 1988, calling for the violent elimination of Israel (and, of course, Israeli Jews).

Anyone claiming that Hamas was Israel’s creation is not merely mistaken, but is intentionally lying.
