As an Australian I find it abhorrent that there is any support at all let alone open public support for what was nothing less than terrorism, carried out by a prescribed terrorist organisation!
Even ten years ago if anyone suggested that the words "gas the jews" would even be uttered in private, nobody would have believed it, yet we have a group, openly, in public, on the steps of the opera house non the less chanting those words.
And even more abhorrently you have people supporting this behaviour.
I am ashamed to be australian.
The simple fact that there are people that have no fear or concern about supporting terrorism is unimaginable to me.
No repercussions, no consequences for publicly espousing not just racism but genocide, have we learned nothing???
The saying " evil happens when good men do nothing" comes to mind.
That is exactly how the Nazis came to power in the 1930's, normal Germans saw the red flags and the concerning rhetoric and behaviour , but were too scared to do anything.
I would never have believed Australia would be similar.
We have to be better than that, regardless of the ethnicities, religions involved.
