The US is bound by certain laws and norms of behavior, at least when public pressure becomes extreme.
Israel is a rogue terrorist state which totally ignores international law and norms of behavior.
No one can reign in that behavior because they also hold the world to ransom with an arsenal of cobalt nukes which are the ultimate doomsday weapon.
