The rhetoric goes both ways though.

Hillary Clinton made comments that threatened to 'obliterate Iran'.

John McCain made a joke about bombing Iran by comparing it with a song by the Bee Gees.

I appreciate the comments on this thread from those who are supporters of peace and can see through the rhetoric that is coming from all sides of this situation.

A deep breath from all sides is required as the situation has escalated through the series of provocative calls from several nations on opposite sides of the argument.

The fact that one of the presidential candidates does not support direct talks with Iran is something that will not be good for the world imo.

This kind of position will only lead to escalation of the situation and while there is all kinds of talk and provocation from many of the leaders it is the citizens of these nations that will ultimately suffer.

That is what is truly sad about all of these problems... it is the people in many nations who seem to be being led down this path of considering other states and individuals to be their enemy and people are asked to support all kinds of actions to redress this supposed problem with the other states.

Yet despite all of these conflicts that are being fought is the world turning out to be a better place???
