As for Hamas; we're informed by the IDF that prior to the latest declaration of War against Gaza by Netanyahu's Regime that they numbered about 30,000 operatives.

I suggest to you that since those (30,000 - those killed) Hamas operatives do NOT have an air force, star wars technology, army tanks, howitzers, 15,000 US bunker-busting bombs, countless US cruise missiles, undisclosed numbers of US nuclear warheads, US resourced white phosphor or the ability to lay siege on Israel and that since it's protected 365/24 by its 'Iron Dome', an entire US naval fleet and as much money as it will ever need courtesy of the USA and the EU that Hamas is as about as big a threat to Israel as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck would be if they became angry.
