The solution is very simple, forgive each other and re-start peacefully. Share Jerusalem and respect each other's believe. Strangely, the WW2 countries did exactly that and hardly anyone of those nations is calling to take to the weapons again. But the Middle Eastern parties just can't get over it. Now Israel is referring to King Sauls " disobedience " for not having wiped out the entire population of the Philistines and God's punishment and using that as a justification for killing Hamas and civilians as collateral damage. The other side isn't any better, they claim to have God on their side to wipe out the Israelites for good. Both worship the same God, both refer to the old testament and yet, none of them is actually following the biblical guidelines. Or is it in the end as always, a game about power and using religion as a tool to motivate the masses to kill each other for just a handful of power hungry people in the background.

If there was a God then either that one wants both parties to disappear for good or doesn't care at all.

Get them together, get them drunk and watch enemies turn into friends. It works in our pub, why not there too?
